2 November 2022 is National Engineering Day (formerly This is Engineering Day),
The aim is to raise awareness around the crucial role that engineers and engineering play in improving lives, and in shaping the world around us.
CIBSE is also supporting Tomorrow's Engineers Week, taking place from 07 - 11 November, showcasing modern engineering and inspirational engineers and technicians.
We want to hear from you
National Engineering Day is a day to celebrate and make visible how engineers and engineering improve our lives and shape our future. This perfectly complements the #CIBSE125Challenges, as laid out by Kevin Mitchell, CIBSE President in celebration of 125 years of CIBSE.
Building Services Engineers design, install and maintain the complex interior systems that transform a shell into a home, railway station, hospital, company headquarters or multiplex cinema. Innovative, practical and inspirational, they make buildings work better for people and so enrich our experience of them immeasurably.
We want to extend these challenges in celebration of National Engineering Day 2022, inviting you to get involved:
#Celebrate - National Engineering Day is a day to celebrate and make visible how engineers and engineering improve our lives and shape our future.
#Inspire - From a product to new sustainable energy solutions, engineers can make small improvements to someone's daily life or help tackle the big challenges of our time.
#Boost - the UK needs more engineers to find solutions to challenges, from the every day, to the complex and global.
#Share - the stories and examples you have about how engineering contributes to improving people's lives.
#Engage - others in the work that you do as a building services engineer and how this positively impacts the lives of others.
Share your thoughts and examples of how engineering improves lives by contacting us at [email protected] or by tagging @CIBSE and #CIBSE125Challenges on social media.
