About the role

CIBSE is seeking an ambitious events marketing assistant to deliver campaigns to support in achieving growth objectives.

Within this role, you will utilise all channels of marketing and communications, including email, social media and paid activities to attract new event attendees, and enrich and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

The candidate will demonstrate basic marketing principles, have excellent attention to detail and good communication skills. In addition, they should be organised, able to multi-task and be willing to run end to end campaign activities.

What you will do

  • Support the organisation and coordination of marketing for events, such as conferences, exhibitions, and awards.
  • Assist with delegate, partnership and stakeholder engagement across CIBSE events and awards
  • Monitor marketing campaigns’ progress and results to gather data to help improve performance
  • Support the creation and updating of content on multiple platforms, including website, social media accounts, blogs, and emails
  • Conduct market research to identify target audience’s needs, potential partnerships, competitors, and trends to help in the creation of marketing plans
  • Help when required with ad hoc requests from other teams regarding event promotion
  • Responsible for CIBSE’s presence at external events – ordering furniture, display designs, etc.

What you will need to be successful

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in marketing
  • Understanding or previous experience with event management procedures
  • Excellent organisational and coordination skills
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Proficiency in digital event promotion tools including social media channels
  • Experience in Pardot and Salesforce highly desirable.
  • Confident in using Office 365 applications
