About the role

CIBSE is looking for an experienced Events Campaign Manager to cover our portfolio of market leading built environment awards and events. You will have a passion for events as well as being a team player who thrives working across multiple campaigns.

You will develop annual marketing campaign plans based on the portfolio marketing strategy, ensuring clearly defined omni-channel communications informed by customer insight. You will be responsible for creating revenue opportunities, customer acquisition plans and partnership acquisition strategies.

This position includes managing one direct report, the Events Marketing Assistant.

What you will do

  • Meticulously plan and execute a range of compelling marketing campaigns, that are customer focused and data lead.
  • Define, measure, and analyse the success of all campaign activity owning KPI’s and weekly reporting.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive event marketing strategies.
  • Be responsible for delivering campaigns within budget, providing accurate forecasts and feeding into the budget setting process accurately, whilst ensuring best possible ROI on marketing spend.
  • Implement automation and content nurture strategies to engage and qualify audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to complete full data audit and gap analysis at the start of each campaign.
  • Develop a partner marketing strategy.
  • Writing copy and proofreading for promotional activity using the correct tone of voice adapted to the relevant persona.
  • Drive marketing influenced pipeline and set targets for MQLs aligned to commercial objectives.
  • Work closely with the event sales team creating campaigns that enable them to meet their commercial objectives and KPIs and ensure conversion rates for MQLs to SQLs are managed and maintained.
  • Stay abreast with the latest industry and marketing insight, sharing with the team and management.
  • Collaborate with sales to increase lead generation and maximise sales opportunities.

What you will need to be successful

  • The role would suit a candidate who is looking for an autonomous opportunity, who can develop and shape events marketing plans from day one.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation and CRM platforms (Pardot and Salesforce desirable).
  • Proven track record of implementing successful segmented promotional campaigns.
  • Demonstrable experience managing events marketing campaigns.
  • People management and ability to motivate, train and coach the team.
  • Be highly analytical and inquisitive with the ability to interpret data and convert into actionable insight (experience with GA4 desirable).
  • Working knowledge of current marketing technologies to maximum effectiveness both from a lead generation and a customer service perspective.
