Polypipe CPD; Sustainable Design Methodology

CPD Objectives • To understand changes to the UK Construction Industry and challenges presented e.g. labour shortages and changes to legislation. • To understand what design for manufacture and assembly means and how are RIBA supporting its expansion as a methodology for construction. • Review the UK Government guidelines regarding MMC and how they influence approaches to how buildings are designed, constructed, and maintained. • Review the impact the global energy transition will have on material selection and considerations regarding the future of demolition, soft stripping and the circular economy.
