Are you interested in ensuring the high-quality of CIBSE's Approved CPD Directory?

The impact of The Building Safety Act, Carbon Reduction initiatives including CIBSE’s commitment to the Climate Industry Council’s Climate Action Plan and technology changes in the construction industry will all emphasise the importance of Continuing Professional Development.

As a valued CIBSE member, you can contribute to this agenda and share your knowledge and experience. We are currently looking for members to join the CPD Sub-Panel which reports to the CPD Panel. We are inviting you to volunteer and give you the opportunity to share your knowledge and experience.

All specialisms are encouraged, however we are particularly looking for volunteers with experience in: ​​​

  • ​​​Lighting 
  • Mechanical
  • ​​Heat pumps
  • Data Centre
  • Water
  • Fire
  • Pipework Design

The CPD Sub-Panel's work:

  • Monitoring the CPD activities of all Corporate members (FCIBSE, MCIBSE, ACIBSE or LCIBSE) in line with CIBSE’s CPD policy
  • Monitoring the approved CPD providers for the CPD course providers and assessing applications

To volunteer you should:

  • Be a corporate member of CIBSE or its Societies
  • Have a proven interest in Professional Development
  • Have an interest in reflective practice
  • Have some experience developing policy, procedure, or competence matrice

Applicants from groups underrepresented in CIBSE’s governance structure through their background, heritage or life experiences are especially welcomed.
