This guide replaces the previous edition HVAC Troubleshooting Manual AG 25/99. It provides a methodology and a logical sequence of steps to follow in order to identify and solve problems in the HVAC systems found in most commercial and some domestic premises.
The guide has been designed so it can be used by engineers and managers with different levels of HVAC knowledge. The troubleshooting procedures are presented in order of the affected system or component. A practitioner should first identify the system and component that is exhibiting symptoms and secondly identify the specific symptoms that are occurring. For each symptom, a number of possible causes are given and an action is suggested for each of these.
