Location: International (meetings will be held online)

Number of hours required: Approx 12 hours in meetings and additional hours as required per year.

Responsibilities:  The Honorary Secretary is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Fellows Network, including:

  • requesting and circulating agendas and any supporting papers in good time.
  • receiving agenda items from other committee members.
  • minuting meetings and circulating the draft minutes to all committee members.
  • checking that committee members and staff have carried out action(s) agreed.
  • helping to organise events for CIBSE Fellows and Hon. Fellows.
  • ad-hoc responsibilities to support the Chair.

Description: The CIBSE Fellows Network is an active international network of CIBSE Fellows — the most senior grade of CIBSE membership. The network is designed to benefit Fellows by offering networking opportunities, while supporting CIBSE and the wider industry by capitalising on their knowledge and skills. The Secretary will have the important responsibility of co-ordinating the committee meetings, as such will need good communication and time-keeping skills. In addition, the Secretary will play a key role in organizing events and workshops that foster collaboration and professional development among members.
