Join us at the Liverpool John Moores University, James Parsons Lower Lecture Theatre. We’re collaborating with our Northwest colleagues from the CIOB, the ICE, Interact Liverpool, the Liverpool Architecture Foundation, the Northwest Construction Safety Group, Project Four and the RICS to host a technical event on the Building Safety Act. Project Four Director, Allan Binns, will provide an overview of the Building Safety Act 2022 (BSA) including the recent changes to building control, the amendments to building regulations, and the specific requirements for working on higher-risk buildings. Allan is a Director at Project Four Safety, an Executive of the Building Safety Alliance, and a Regional Representative (Central) for the APS. He is a digital-enabled, thought-leading safety consultant specialising in the built environment with an expert knowledge of the BSA. Since 2020, Allan has acted as a trusted advisor to a range clients, designers, and contractors, advising on the impact of the post-Grenfell legislation, including providing guidance on Gateway 2 applications. This session is open to both members and non members of each institution and all those involved across the built environment sector.
