A Student Member of the Society can be:
- Any candidate who is already a Student member of CIBSE
- Any new applicant who is undertaking a full or part-time course in light and lighting recognised by the Society (will also become a CIBSE Student member)
Student members are transferred to Affiliate on ceasing to be a Student member of CIBSE or completing a recognised course in light and lighting.
Becoming a Student member of the Society gives access to valuable references via the CIBSE Knowledge Portal and the Society's international Lighting Journal Lighting, Research and Technology (LR&T).
