Your New Company Hays Building Services are pleased to be assisting an M+E contractor in Reading with the recruitment of an Electrical Supervisor to join their busy team. Your New Role You will effectively manage the electrical onsite labour for the project and co-ordinate onsite electrical sub-contractors, complete general site inspection paperwork as well as attend toolbox talks and site meetings prior to work commencement onsite as required. You will remain responsible for the timely delivery of the tasks allocated to you within the department, proactively supervise projects alongside the wider operational team as well as provide technical assistance on variances to the project where requested. What You'll Need To Succeed You will have relevant electrical qualifications, experience in commercial projects within the M+E industry as well as experience in projects up to £2mil. Due to significant growth, this practice is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to join their team based in Belfast. Delivering large scale residential/mixed use and industrial projects services throughout the UK&I, their raft of engineering and management consultancy services are in demand with some of the world's biggest brands. Your new role You will work on a range of large-scale projects predominantly across the Institutional Residential and Industrial sectors in the UK and EU. This is a critical project and technical leadership role which will see you managing a small team of engineers and technicians and driving outstanding commercial engineering and sustainability outcomes on a range of high value projects. Preparing fee bids and presentations for new work. Communicating directly with customers, project teams and outsourced delivery teams. Develop relationships with new and existing customers. Comfortable in a client-facing role and willing to contribute to business development activities. Experience leading teams on large-scale and often complex projects. Experience in the delivery of all phases of a project from inception to completion, but specifically, design and quality control focused on dealing directly with the customer and project teams. Experience and awareness of major digital engineering tools, such as CAD/Revit, and Amtech. You will also have experience of delivering projects in a BIM environment. Senior Electrical Design Engineer - To £50 p/h With an order book stretching into mid-2025 this MEP Design Consultancy are now looking for an additional contract Senior Electrical Design Engineer for their London office. Having visited their office earlier today, I was really impressed with the quality of the fit out, the spacious desks, excellent communal facilities, and the buzz that the office had about it. It's modern but not too corporate, busy but not too full on and the staff were all interacting and chatting rather than being glued to a screen. As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you'll be given one or two projects to lead at a time; and be trusted to just get on with what you need to do to keep them moving forward. You'll consult directly with the client and lead projects from RIBA Stages 2 to 4. You'll be expected to be able to lead projects independently, however when you need help, a second opinion or advice; you can just their Electrical Technical Director. You'll get to work on CAT A and CAT B commercial offices, light industrial buildings, hotels, and high-end residential developments across central London.
