CIBSE President, Adrian Catchpole to take the stage at ARBS

The 2024 ARBS exhibition will bring together a showcase of rich expertise including CIBSE's very own president who will be delivering a keynote address in the ARBS Seminar Series in Sydney in May.

As part of his visit to the region, Adrian Catchpole has accepted a number of invitations to ARBS engagements. In addition to his keynote address at the Seminar Series, Adrian will also be speaking at the International Chairman’s Breakfast and presenting at the ARBS Awards evening. He will also be available to meet members and visitors on CIBSE stand #418, from 2pm - 4pm on Tuesday 28 May.

The upcoming ARBS 2024 is hosting an impressive roster of speakers addressing today's most relevant topics. Here are some additional confirmed sessions.

Energy efficiency insights: Dam Bertino of the National Carbon Bank Of Australia will take the stage to discuss the vital incentives for HVAC system upgrades. This is a pivotal session for those eager to steer their operations toward a greener, more sustainable future.

Championing diversity: Join Alison Stockland of ASBEC and Caroline Fitzgerald from Woolworths Group as they highlight the critical role of diversity in our sector. Their talk will focus on crafting strategies to foster an inclusive environment.

Technical training: Dr Les Trudzik of ACIL Allen will navigate the complexities of training within the VET sector amidst rapid technological advancements.

Refrigeration technology: Graeme Dewerson of Expert Group will offer up-to-date insights with 'Cold Hard Facts 4', discussing all the new developments and trends.

Global sustainability trends: Jan Dusek of Atmosphere/shecco will present an overview of international policies and market movements surrounding natural refrigerants, paving the way for a discussion on the future landscape of refrigeration and heat pumps.

Innovative building design: For enthusiasts of building design, Jeff Robinson of Aurecon will discuss the integration of Passive House principles to achieve superior Green Star Building Ratings.

The Future of Smart Buildings: Subbu Sethuvenkatraman of CSIRO and T.K Wang of Virtual Buildings Information System will cover the foundational elements required for the expansion of smart building applications, an area of growing significance as our infrastructure becomes more intertwined with advanced technology.
