As a Principal Building Physics Engineer, you will contribute to the decarbonisation of the built environment in the UK, utilising Passivhaus principles on large-scale commercial projects. You'll play an integral part in the transformation of the built environment, positively impacting climate change, and leaving a legacy for future generations. You'll apply innovative design strategies, energy-efficient technologies, and leading construction practices to create environmentally friendly buildings that are commercially viable. Having grown from 3 to 25 employees in just under two years, it's clear that this consultancy has become an established player in the industry. You will work on diverse projects and oversee the Building Physics (i.e. DTM and DfP etc) production on schools, universities, commercial offices, museums, laboratories, and large-scale residential developments. Good overall knowledge of materials, energy performance, thermal comfort, overheating, daylighting, indoor air quality and Part L 2021. Awareness of BREEAM / WELL / Nabers / LEED Understanding of building materials, and One Click LCA.

Due to growth, they are currently looking for an additional Electrical Building Services Design Engineer for their Manchester office. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll benefit from working for a consultancy that continues to put their people before profit and offers clear progression. You'll have direct access to their Partners and Associates, and their CIBSE Approved Training and Development program that will help you become a CEng / MIET as soon as you are ready to. Supported from above and below by a team of Juniors and Graduates, you'll help design the full suite of electrical building services. Projects include education, healthcare, leisure, and mixed-use projects, typically from RIBA Stages 2-4.
