Last night we celebrated the achievements of all our outstanding young engineering professionals, students, graduates, mentors and the businesses that champion them at the 2024 CIBSE ANZ Young Engineers Awards ceremony.
The event took place at the stunning L’Aqua rooftop terrace in Cockle Bay, where everyone really enjoyed catching up with colleagues old and new, plus acknowledging the exceptional talent and innovation within the building services engineering industry.
This year, the awards were focused on how the emerging technology of artificial intelligence enhances our capabilities as building services engineers. Our guest speaker, Mike Dowling, Director of Technology from Operational Intelligence, couldn’t have been more on brief with his keynote address topic - Is AI the next young engineer of the year?
After Mike’s keynote, CIBSE ANZ Young Engineers Network Chair Niro Siriwardena took the stage to introduce the award categories. A huge congratulations to our five winners for 2024:
