Update: Due to ongoing plumbing issues at CIBSE's Headquarters in Saffron Hill, we have made the decision to close the office for the remainder of the week ending Sunday, 31 May to allow urgent works to take place in the basement. This means the Skills and Future Workforce Conference will not be taking place on 28 May. The conference will be rescheduled to an upcoming available date and all registrants have been notified.
About the Conference:
The CIBSE Skills and Future Workforce Conference 2026 will bring together policy makers and stakeholders to discuss priorities for delivering the skills and future workforce required in the transition to a safer, sustainable built environment. It will focus on steps taken to bridge the skills gap, with a focus on renewables, digital tools, and sustainability, along with skills related to technical knowledge, collaboration, problem-solving, and communication.
The programme will examine the skills gap facing the building services sector, and how industry leaders, major employers, and the wider profession can work together to build a resilient, diverse, and future-ready workforce. We will explore the challenges and opportunities in talent development in building services, highlighting strategies to attract, train, and retain skilled engineers.
