Almoner - CIBSE Benevolent Fund

Volunteer
01 Jan 01

Are you someone who thrives under pressure, offers thoughtful advice, and approaches others with compassion? If so, we’d like to invite you to consider the rewarding role of Almoner.

We currently have a vacancy in the Scotland region for an Almoner who will also serve on the Benevolent Fund Trust (BFT).

What does an Almoner do?

Almoners play a vital role in supporting CIBSE members, former members, and their families during challenging times. Working closely with the BFT, you’ll:

  • Help individuals access support services.
  • Arrange financial assistance for those in need.
  • Provide a steady presence and sympathetic guidance to those seeking help.

About the BFT

Established 90 years ago, the Benevolent Fund Trust offers vital support to the CIBSE community. As an Almoner, you’ll contribute to this mission by representing your region and attending quarterly meetings (with full training and support provided).

Ready to make a difference?

If this sounds like a role where you could make an impact, please reach out to BFT Chair, Kevin Kelly, for more information or to apply.
