SLL is a learned Society and promotes education and knowledge transfer in a variety of ways, including publications and guidance notes, as well as an events programme and access to past webinars.
SLL’s publications include:

- The Lighting Research & Technology Journal (LR&T), which is free to members.
SLL members can download PDF versions of SLL publications for free as part of their CIBSE membership from the CIBSE Knowledge Portal, as well as getting discounts on hard copy versions.
Non-members can purchase SLL publications through the Knowledge Portal as PDF or hard copy.
