The principles of phase change materials and their application in thermal storage This course provides a comprehensive overview of the principles of phase change materials (PCMs), how PCMs can be applied in thermal storage, and how PCM thermal storage systems can help decarbonise the supply of domestic hot water (DHW), working alongside low carbon technologies such as heat pumps and solar PV. 2. Phase change material thermal storage for industrial heating and cooling This course covers the importance of thermal storage in industrial thermal heat networks, how PCM thermal storage differs from other thermal energy storage systems, and applications of PCM thermal storage for industrial heating and cooling, including waste heat recovery.
