TM66 informs the industry, sector-by-sector on how to create and adopt circular economy principles. It includes a review of current legislation, up-to-date case studies, and FAQs. The Circular Economy Assessment Methods (CEAM), turn a complex subject into easy-to-understand star rating, giving manufacturers and specifiers targeted, useable, independent metrics to compare products and strive for improvement.
On winning the award Bob Bohannon commented “This award is a fantastic affirmation that our work to ensure sustainable futures, looking at the whole life-cycle of lighting and building services and its connection to the management of the earth’s resources is both very useful and absolutely relevant to our industry. The creation of a Circular Economy is all about design, not just product design, but the design of an eco-system of services that keep products delivering value for the longest period of time.”
As with all SLL Guidance, this has been led by SLL Members, volunteering their time, knowledge, and expertise. An incredible effort, for the benefit of the Lighting Community and the public.
