Posted: 12 January 2022
The BSER&T editorial board is keen to showcase, as a Special Issue publication, the latest knowledge and developments in all areas related to building services as a key element of the circular economy.
If you have research or practice that could be suitable to feature in this Special Issue and you are able to produce a robust, peer reviewed research paper or technical note or review paper we would like to hear from you. We are looking for papers that present research in the following areas:
-
Aspects of circular economy of building services systems and/or products (including mechanical, electrical, public health, vertical transportation, BMS and control systems, lighting, and facades).
-
Embodied carbon.
-
Operational vs embodied carbon of buildings and systems.
-
Maintenance and operational aspects such as plant replacement and repairs, and refrigerants.
-
End of life recyclability and reusability of building services and systems
-
Circular economy models, methods, and tools.
-
Circular economy in sectors such as hospitality, supermarkets, and offices.
- Circular economy case studies. • Topics that would provide knowledge/information that advances understanding of circular economy in buildings.
A group of papers will be selected that will form an appropriately coherent Special Issue. We will contact prospective authors within 3 weeks of the submission closing date to advise whether their paper is invited to be developed for the issue. There will then be a maximum of 12 weeks to submit the final paper. All submissions are subject to peer review.
