Book NowBAXI and Ramboll UK join together their expertise in Heat Networks to present to members and non-members of the up-and-coming changes to legislation; which will impact how we design heat solutions to buildings in the UK, and in addition solutions which can be adopted to support the changes.
Laura Penny, Energy Consultant, Ramboll UK will provide an overview of the Heat Network Zoning Regulations, coming into force in 2025, which will designate areas in England where the delivery of heat networks provide the lowest-cost, low carbon heating option.
Introduce some opportunities and challenges for the South West region, relevant to building owners, designers, heat network developers, and manufacturers.
Ramboll District Energy team has a leading position supporting the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero in developing a methodology for identifying where heat networks are expected to provide the lowest cost, low carbon heat to buildings.
Following this, Ian Robinson, Technical Manager Heat Network Solutions BAXI, will discuss the implications of Heat Networks Zoning, and where some existing buildings and new developments would at some stage need to connect to the heat networks. Ian will look at the challenges this presents and possible technical solutions which could be implemented to achieve compliance.
BAXI is part of the BDR Thermea Group and offers a wide range of technologies and services to the Heat Network sector including low temperature, low carbon Hybrid Energy Centres, Thermal Substations and Heat Interface Units.
