SoPHE are pleased to invite you to the SoPHE Northern Dinner 2025.

We are pleased to inform you that we will be returning to the Midlands Hotel in Manchester, for this year’s 13th Northern Celebration Dinner on Friday 9 May. We very much hope that the SoPHE Industrial Associates will want to continue to support us and I am writing to offer you the opportunity to make this year’s Celebration Dinner another memorable occasion.

We have to inform you that the cost has had to be increased slightly & is now £130.00 + VAT (£156.00) per ticket. Please note that tables are for a maximum of 12 places. In return for your generous support your booking will include your company’s logo on all promotional materials for the event, a mention in the CIBSE Journal and a mention on the SoPHE webpage. Please note that opportunities to support this event are only open to current members of the Industrial Associates.

(Please ensure that your company will have paid its 2025 membership subscription by February 2025).

As in previous years, the Dinner will commence from 6:00pm with a drinks reception followed by a three course dinner with wine at your table. There will also be a guest speaker (this year, it’s Mike Osman – Impressionist & Comedian) and the opportunity to mingle with familiar and new faces within the industry

This year, we shall also be asking guests to contribute to a local charity. We would like to donate money to The Christie Hospital, the “experts” in overcoming all forms of cancer. I’m sure that someone, at some time in their life, has been affected by this horrible condition so we are asking that all guests bring some cash with them!!

For convenience, there will be a very limited number of reasonably priced bedrooms including breakfast available. Please note these bedrooms will be held until eight weeks prior to the dinner only and that once these bedrooms have been allocated, any guests wishing to book bedrooms will be offered the best rate subject to availability. To book bedroom(s) please contact the hotel directly on 0161 774 7051 or, if you need to book more than 10 rooms, dial 0161 932 4095 or visit the website at www.themidlandhotel.co.uk quoting SoPHE dinner. Please note also that the hotel’s cancellation policy will apply to any booking(s) made.

We very much hope your company will not want to miss what promises to be an exciting and informative evening by accepting this opportunity to support the SoPHE celebration dinner. Further details and to book you place online can be found here – the deadline for bookings is 11 April 2025. Any enquiries can be emailed to Jack Batley at [email protected] or to Malcolm Atherton [email protected]

As you will be aware the aim of the Society of Public Health Engineers (SoPHE) is to provide a higher profile and focus for Public Health Engineering within the Building Services Industry as part of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineering.

We look forward to hearing from you.
