CPD: Thermally Activated Building Structures

An integral part of green building, TABS from REHAU increases the efficiency of energy usage by circulating cold or warm water through embedded PE-Xa pipe circuits in the concrete slab of a building. The slab effectively becomes a giant thermal accumulator, extracting heat from the space during the day and cooling the building at night; a process which is far more energy efficient than traditional air-conditioning due to the elevated water temperatures involved.
