This briefing session is aimed at organisations who are starting out on water safety management and those organisations who are reviewing their water safety management arrangements. The aim of this 1 hr briefing session is to inform the delegate on what a WSG is, with definitions from the WHO and the Department of Health, please note a WSG applicable to all organisation, not just healthcare!

Utilising healthcare guidance HTM 04-01 Safe Water in Healthcare Premises, which provides some of the most clear guidance on who should be part of the WSG, outlining the remit of a WSG and associated Terms of Reference, this being the backbone to ensuring proactive water safety risk management within an organisation in order to provide assurance at Board level. This briefing will also identify issues / problems with poor performing WSG and how these can be addressed.
