Dave Cheshire from AECOM will provide an overview of his career and published books

The 5th Masterclass will be given by David Cheshire at AECOM on 18 March with arrivals from 17:30 for 18:00 start. All are welcome to attend this open event (in person only available.)

David Cheshire is a Director at AECOM, specialising in sustainability in the built environment. He has had over 30 years’ experience acting as a sustainability champion on construction projects and was one of the leading authors of CIBSE guidance publications TM54, TM56, CIBSE Guide L and Guide F and the sole author of three books for RIBA (Building Revolutions; The Handbook to Building a Circular Economy, and Regenerative by Design). David is a Chartered Environmentalist and was recently awarded a CIBSE Silver Medal.

David will talk about his experiences and insights that he has gained from writing these publications on sustainability and the circular economy as applied to buildings. This will include a discussion about his 2024 book on Regenerative by Design: Creating Net-Positive Buildings and Cities and how we need to make radical changes to make the built environment an active part of the ecosystem so that we give back more to the planet than we take from it. Can we survive the climate and biodiversity crises? Come to this Masterclass to hear David show how we can.
