Adrian joined the Engineering Consultancy firm Johns Slater and Haward of Ipswich as a Trainee Mechanical Engineer in 1985. In 1987, he was appointed an Assistant Building Servcies Engineer with Ipswich Borough Council where he remained for 15 years.

In 1995, Adrian was appointed Building and Design Services Team Leader with responsibility for a multi-disciplinary team comprising Architects, Surveyors, and Mechanical/Electrical Engineers covering capital improvements to the Council's Corporate Estate.

In 2001, Adrian re-joined Johns Slater and Haward as a Salaried Partner and following incorporation in 2004 is now a Director/Shareholder where he is jointly responsible for the business finance, risk management and governance.

Adrian is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of CIBSE. He is a member of CIBSE Council, has conducted Membership Interviews and assisted CIBSE Certification with Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) audits.

He served on the CIBSE East Anglia Regional Committee in various capacities including Secretary and Chair from 1994 to 2004. From 2009 until 2018 Adrian was CHir of the CIBSE Professional Conduct Committee, which administers the Disciplinary Procedures of the Institution. He was also a member of the Governance Review Task Forces of 2005 and 2015.

Professionally, Adrian has served over 38 years in the industry and has experience on a wide range of projects from domestic heating and re-wiring contracts to £30 million plus commercial developments.

In particular, Adiran is responsible for his practice's NHS and university frameworks and for leading where appropriate on sustainability issues. He is also a keen promoter of collaborative working throughout design and construction teams, in order to deliver buildings that really work across the industry.

Andrew Rowe

Andrew is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Building Service Engineers.

He has delivered and managed many capital projects during his career in the public and private sector; including leading the technical and delivery elements of Suffolk County Council’s Building Schools for the Future programmes and two large TUPE transfer of services from County Council’s.

Andrew has managed the in-house consultancy team at Suffolk County Council, offering multi-disciplinary design services, project and programme management, and estates advice on acquisitions, disposals and ratings. And then went on to lead the outsourcing of services in 2013 to Concertus Design and Property Consultants Limited becoming its Chief Executive for nearly 10 years.

Andrew is currently a trustee for the Engineering Council, he Chairs the Education, Training and Membership Committee for CIBSE and is currently sits on a number of industry groups.

Vince started his 45-year career in Building Services Engineering as an Apprentice Electrician at Royal Mail, later becoming a Chartered Engineer after completing a part-time degree. He held key roles at Royal Mail and National Design Consultancy (NDC), where he served as a Director for the London practice for nearly 20 years. 

With experience spanning design, project management, maintenance and statutory compliance, Vince has managed multi-site projects across the UK for both public and private sectors. 

A CIBSE member since 1998, he has been deeply involved in mentoring and training engineers, serving as Chair of the Membership and Registration Panel for over 12 years, and holding multiple leadership roles within CIBSE and the Engineering Council. He joined the CIBSE Board in 2020. 

Vince is passionate about developing young talent in the industry and chairs the Apprentice of the Year Judging Panel. He is also active in health and safety initiatives, particularly in response to the Grenfell Tower tragedy, and serves as a CIBSE technical trainer.
