This award recognises exceptional contributions to understanding and reducing embodied carbon in building services. This awards applies to services, such as embodied carbon assessments of building services or designing for low embodied carbon building services. Embodied carbon is increasingly acknowledged as a major contributor to carbon emissions and must be addressed alongside operational carbon to meet net zero carbon goals.
The Embodied Carbon Award has now been split into two categories:
- Services and Projects (i.e. for Consultants & Clients)
- Products (Manufacturers and Suppliers)
Entries in these categories are welcome from UK or international organisations that consultant on, manufacture or supply building services products, components and systems.
Entries should be for work conducted between 1 September 2022 to 31 August 2024.
