The CIBSE Energy Performance Group (EPG) and Young EPG comes together to discuss the future of Net Zero.
About this Event
Having declared a Climate Change emergency what do we do now? The Committee for Climate Change suggested that all new housing should be off the gas grid by 2025. If we wait until 2025 does that simply make the net zero by 2050 all the more difficult? What practical steps should be taken in the short term and what will happen in the long term? The Energy Performance Group has assembled a top team of speakers including an Architect, an Engineer and a Developer to consider what concrete steps can be taken in the short term to address this issue. The Young Energy Performance Group have done something similar but focused on the longer term issues.
Come and find out more from our panel of 6 experts giving their Power Hour opinions in short presentations that will consider this challenging issue.
• Clare Murray - Levitt Bernstein
• Simon Green – Green Building Design
• Julie Alexander – Places for People
• Helen Gavin - Oxford Martin School
• Ana Pavlovic – BSIRA
• James Quiggin – Scotch Partners
The rest of the Power Hour will be an open moderated audience discussion and debate about the subject. Following the presentations there will be networking.
N.B. The event will now be held at 55 Broadway, London Underground's historic headquarters. The venue is immediately above St James' Park Underground. Use Broadway exit from either platform and turn right, entering doors directly after the exit gates.
