Join the SLL for an evening of discussion and debate as acclaimed Lighting Designers make their case for a variety of lighting controls systems and approaches.

Francesco Anselmo, Arup Associate – Lighting and Interaction Designer and Stuart Alexander, Associate at Michael Grubb Studio will be delivering their presentation, the Magic Lushrooms, looking at a revolutionary scheme co-designed for Lush Spa. After outlining the technology, they will give a demonstration and then open the discussion up to the audience for questions and feedback.

Ewan Parsons, Senior Designer at Speirs + Major will be weighing up the pros and cons of integrated Bluetooth wireless controls. Ewan will be looking at the major motivations for specifying Bluetooth lighting controls, challenging the desire to be seen as an early adopter and highlighting examples where it can and should be practically applied.

Inessa Demidova, Lighting Designer at Arup will also deliver her presentation, Are Controls Part of Lighting Design?

These presentations are designed to start a wider conversation, encouraging audience interaction and participation.

Following the talks, there will be a drinks reception, giving attendees the opportunity to network and continue the debate.

This event has been organised by the Society of Light and Lighting. If you have any questions or if you would like any more information, please contact sll@cibse.org or call 0208 772 3685
