Ant is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers, the Energy Institute and the Society of Façade Engineering and a Member of the Society of Lights and Lighting.
Ant holds a Silver Medal from CIBSE for contributions to the Institution (2007) and was the first ever winner of the ACE engineering ambassadors award in 2008.
Ant was recognised by H&V News as ‘the most influential person in the UK Building Services Industry’ in 2008; he was awarded the Institution of Mechanical Engineers –Construction and Building Services Division Prize in 2009.

Ant Wilson, Director of Sustainability & Advanced Design, AECOM, will present on current energy consumption data, current Government and European Policy plus update on some of the energy solutions now available. Key topics for the talk:
  • Energy production in the UK with reference to global supply and demand.
  • The increase of renewable energy in our mix and how storage can help with peak demands.
  • Planning policy and Building Regulation in relation to the UK Carbon Budgets.
  • New technologies such as energy systems, new materials, better controls and equipment to lower energy demands in buildings.
This event shall be held both in Bristol and Plymouth, and is open to non-members and other institutions.
