Workplace mentors play a vital role in the early development of an engineer’s career. The CIBSE ANZ Young Engineer Champion of the Year is a way to honour an individual who has impacted or inspired you.
Ahead of entries closing on 29 July, we asked CIBSE committee members who inspired them in the early stages of their career and what lasting impact they had.
Sean McKeag, Project Director
"As a younger engineer, I was introduced to Sean, then at MaceGroup. He provided great insight into the value of being involved in the industry beyond your direct job and convinced me to join the Victorian chapter of CIBSE. That was five years ago, and since then, I have had the privilege of being part of CIBSE VIC, meeting and working alongside many fantastic individuals, and helping others develop their technical knowledge and networks." – Matthew Hill
