Applications are now open to apply for the Society of Light and Lighting's Jean Heap Bursary.
The SLL Jean Heap Research Bursary is open to anyone with an interest in light and lighting. Applicants are invited to submit a written paper, along with a short video to outline their research proposal. The judging panel will be looking for a specific piece of lighting study or research designed for the benefit of SLL members and industry.
Application is open to all, and the successful applicant will be given up to £4000 funding, which is paid in 4 instalments, subject to the submission of progress reports.

In 2024 the bursary was awarded to Tom Ruddle for 'A tool for scheduling circular economy lighting projects'.
