National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) runs from 10th to 16th February 2025, celebrating the vital role apprenticeships play in shaping the future of the workforce. CIBSE is proud to support this national campaign, showcasing the value of apprenticeships in our industry and beyond.

CIBSE's commitment to apprenticeships goes beyond recognition during NAW. Every year, as part of the Young Engineers Awards, CIBSE honours an outstanding apprentice with the prestigious CIBSE Apprentice of the Year award. This accolade celebrates the hard work and dedication apprentices bring to the building services sector, emphasising the practical and relevant work experience they gain throughout their training. By recognising these achievements, CIBSE highlights how apprenticeships contribute to building a skilled, knowledgeable and diverse workforce that is essential to the future of engineering.

In support of National Apprenticeship Week 2025, CIBSE is running an engaging social media campaign to further raise awareness of apprenticeship opportunities in the building services sector. Through this initiative, we aim to connect with those interested in pursuing apprenticeships, as well as promote the importance of hands-on training, mentorship and skill development in shaping the next generation of engineers.

Whether you’re currently an apprentice, a mentor or an organisation supporting apprenticeship programmes, CIBSE is dedicated to promoting these invaluable opportunities throughout National Apprenticeship Week and beyond. Stay connected with us on social media to learn more about apprenticeships and hear inspiring stories from apprentices and industry leaders.

Together, we can continue to nurture talent, drive innovation and build a stronger future for the building services sector.
