CIBSE is excited to announce that Ingrid Berkeley, Chair of CIBSE Scotland and Principal Sustainability Consultant and Partner at Max Fordham LLP, will be speaking at the upcoming Sustainabuild Breakfast Club in Edinburgh. This event, themed "All for one and one for all! The fight to achieve Net Zero together," will focus on the urgent need for collaboration across the construction industry to meet Net Zero targets.

Taking place on Thursday, 29 August at One New Park Square in Edinburgh Park—one of the UK’s most sustainable buildings—the event will feature talks from three prominent Scottish leaders in sustainability within the built environment. Alongside Ingrid Berkeley, the lineup includes Richard Campbell, Chair of the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) Scotland and Director at Will Rudd Davidson and Karen Anderson, President of The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland and Founding Partner of Anderson Bell + Christie.

The Sustainabuild Breakfast Club series, launched in January 2024, has quickly become a key platform for networking and knowledge-sharing among building and construction professionals in Scotland, with previous events held in Edinburgh, Dundee and Glasgow. This movement aims to empower professionals with the network and insights needed to achieve their sustainability goals.

Ingrid's participation at this event underscores CIBSE's commitment to fostering leadership and collaboration in the pursuit of Net Zero. By sharing her expertise and insights, Ingrid will represent CIBSE and its dedication to advancing sustainable practices within the built environment.

We are also pleased to note that Sustainabuild will expand its reach with its first event in London next month, further promoting the importance of sustainability and collaboration across the UK.
