CIBSE Christchurch is off to a fresh start, creating a buzz in the building services community with a Christmas networking event earlier this month. This is with many thanks to the new CIBSE Christchurch representative, Jasmine Fletcher who joined the NZ committee in September.
With the help of a small group of passionate professionals, Jasmine and CIBSE plan to run a series of professional development workshops, networking/social events, site visits and technical events throughout 2025.
Jasmine leads the sustainability team at TM Consultants and is a Sustainability Engineer known for her lively, friendly and outgoing personality. Jasmine has a multi-disciplinary background in both architecture and engineering giving her a unique perspective on the built environment.
“I have always been passionate about the built environment, sustainable design, and the role that architecture and engineering has in shaping our communities. Accepting the role of CIBSE Christchurch Representative/South Island Chair allows me to directly contribute and collaborate with other like-minded professionals. I believe that CIBSE provides a fantastic platform for knowledge exchange and professional development, and I want to play an active part in fostering that environment for others.”
Combining building services with festive fun, the CIBSE Christchurch Christmas party successfully allowed industry professionals to network, connect and gain valuable industry insights, all whilst celebrating the holiday season.
“We had a number of people attend who are not currently part of the CIBSE member community, the event allowed them to gain a greater insight into what the CIBSE membership can offer.”
