In a celebration of innovation and excellence within the engineering community, CIBSE ANZ proudly introduces two new awards in the upcoming Young Engineers Awards. These additions aim to spotlight the individuals and organisations that play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the building services engineering industry.
- Young Engineer Champion of the Year:
Not every aspiring engineer is fortunate enough to be part of a formal training program. In many instances, the guidance and mentorship provided by a single individual can make an extraordinary impact on the development of future engineering leaders. CIBSE recognises the importance of these unsung heroes and is excited to present the "Young Engineer Champion of the Year" award. This category seeks to acknowledge and honour those individuals who, without a structured program, have demonstrated exceptional dedication to nurturing young talent and fostering their growth within the engineering field.
- Graduate Development Program of the Year:
For organisations committed to laying a strong foundation for the careers of young engineers, the "Graduate Development Program of the Year" award awaits. This category recognises companies that have established robust development programs, setting young engineers on a trajectory for success. The award highlights those organisations that go above and beyond to cultivate the skills, knowledge, and professional growth of their emerging engineering talents. These programs not only ensure a smooth transition into the workforce but also contribute to the overall advancement of the engineering profession.
The introduction of these two awards underscores CIBSE's commitment to acknowledging excellence in all forms within the engineering community, in particular our up and coming engineers. By spotlighting both individual champions and organisations with outstanding development programs, the CIBSE ANZ Young Engineers Awards aim to inspire and elevate the industry's standards, fostering a culture of mentorship and continuous learning.
These awards will complement the existing three awards that recognise the Student, Graduate and Young Engineer of the Year. Entry dates and award criteria for all awards will be announced in February. For awards enquiries please contact [email protected].
