At the 2022 awards, Buro Happold picked up two first place wins: Best Project and Collaboration for ‘Museum of the Future’, and Best Consultancy. Michael Bartyzel, Director - Global BIM Lead at Buro Happold, reflects on the awards below.
“Participating and winning in numerous categories in the SDE awards has been a great boost to Buro Happold as a company on so many fronts. We are all so busy delivery projects that sometimes we don’t reflect on our achievements and celebrate them. In addition to celebrating projects, with the breath of categories we were also had the opportunity to recognise individuals who had gone above and beyond in digital design.
The application process was simple, not time consuming and allowed the space to really reflect on our achievements. Having the opportunity to all get together for the awards evening really helped improve team morale and to have the bonus of winning awards topped the evening, allowing us to celebrate our achievements as a team.
Finally, the opportunity to promote winning awards via social media supported our standing in the industry as digital leaders. I would strongly recommend anyone thinking of entering the awards to do so.
