CIBSE ANZ provided one of 119 responses received by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water to the National Energy Performance Strategy consultation earlier this year.
Feedback showed support for strategic and coordinated action to improve energy performance across the economy. The consultation process was a first step in developing the Strategy. The Government has analysed the information received through the submissions and is now working to run a series of issues-based roundtables with key stakeholders. They will be hosting a phased approach to roundtables, the first phase to commence through May-June.
The roundtables will provide the opportunity to explore specific issues identified through the consultation process. Information gathered from both the consultation process and the first phase of roundtables will be used to inform the Strategy, which is expected to be released later this year.
