Thirty engineers and students came together on 10 November for the Amazing Race challenge organsied by CIBSE NSW YEN. Key buildings in Sydney’s CBD, with iconic architectural and building services design, were explored.
The teams put their analytical skills to practice by solving clues to identify the buildings, where, on arrivial, they completed goofy challenges, such as dancing to Beyonce!
All teams clearly took the event name seriously, as they ran to complete the route – all finishing well before expected. It was a great way to be active after work, meet new people, and get excited about the interesting projects happening in our industry.
Congratulations to our winning team – Michael, Danielle, Tom, Chris – who received a $50 gift card each for their speed!

A big thank you to Arup who kindly sponsored and hosted the event; and also to our team of committee champions who organised the event: Enda, Vanessa, Dinushi, Ellen, Jeff, Nina, Yan and Ryan.
Hope to see many people at our next CIBSE YEN event – the EOY Party!
