The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) are seeking views on a proposal to update the ecodesign requirements for lighting products from 2023 and 2027.
It is proposing to require that lamps offered for sale in Great Britain have a minimum energy performance of 120 lm/W by 2023 and 140 lm/W by 2027. The proposal also highlights some exemptions.
BEIS is seeking views on the proposals and CIBSE will be responding through the Society of Light and Lighting (SLL) and contributing to a wider industry response. If you wish to contribute, please send comments to [email protected] by Monday 27 March 2023.
