Objectives of the consultation
On 1 October, the Government published a consultation on the Future Homes Standard and proposed changes to the Building Regulations Part L and Part F, including a proposal for introducing an uplift to energy efficiency standards and requirements in 2020. The Government is developing a new version of the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) for the energy rating of dwellings and was consulting on a new version of the SAP specification (10.1). BRE also prepared the consultation version of the software to help stakeholders to see how the updated methodology and the proposed regulatory changes will work in practice.
This consultation closed 7 February 2020.
