Keeping Construction Working
Posted: 13 January 2021
Co-chair of the Construction Leadership Council Andy Mitchell, has written to the Construction Sector to encourage all firms who are operating to follow the current restrictions on staff working away from home.
Whilst government has been keen to stress that construction workers should continue to work on site and that the rules permit this, he stresses that only those who cannot work from home have a reasonable excuse to leave home for work.
Where they do, then it is vital to follow the CLC guidance on travel to minimise the risks of transmission, and to continue to demonstrate the capability of the sector to run sites safely during the current restrictions. To help us all to contribute to keeping the construction sector working safely under the current rules and to avoid further restrictions, read the letter and associated links to relevant guidance here.
