Marketing and promotion

Once the publication date is set, CIBSE's marketing team will be in touch with you. The standard marketing plan involves the following:

• A press release, distributed to trade press contacts, including the CIBSE Journal. If you have any contacts that you would like to add to the list, please do let our marketing team know. 
• Inclusion in the CIBSE Knowledge Newsletter and the CIBSE Newsletter. If you don’t receive these, please do sign up – you’ll find details below.
• Posts on all CIBSE social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook). We would encourage authors (and your organisations’ marketing departments) to re-post or interact with posts. 
  If you would like to post on your own channels, we’re happy to provide images – and please remember to tag CIBSE!
  If you would prefer not to be tagged, please do let us know.
• A CIBSE #GrowYourKnowledge webinar. These webinars are launch events, but they also provide excellent continuing professional development opportunities for attendees, so are often very well attended. Check our past webinars at cibse.org/growyourknowledge.
  You will normally be asked to provide a 30-45 minute Powerpoint presentation, followed by followed by a question and answer session.
• A CIBSE Knowledge blog interview: a simple Q&A style interview, asking you about your publication and your experiences of authoring. Our marketing team will send you a set of questions, and ask you to send back your answers. Check out past interviews here: cibse.org/knowledgeblogs.
