Time commitment: Around 2 hours per quarter, plus additional time to support the Chair as required

Duration: 3-year commitment, though you can step down beforehand

Vacancies: Roles can be shared if needed*

Requirements: Corporate membership (ACIBSE, LCIBSE, MCIBSE, FCIBSE)

Responsibilities: The Honorary Treasurer is responsible for the day-to-day financial affairs of their SIG.

Overview: 

Are you analytical, strategic, and interested in helping others learn and connect?

We're looking for volunteers to help lead the Special Interest Groups by becoming an Honorary Treasurer.

You’ll work with a friendly team of volunteers to provide technical events for members, opportunities to contribute to CIBSE knowledge publications and training. 

What you’ll do:

  • Keep accurate records of Group expenditure.
  • Present the budget at committee meetings, advising the committee of financial viability of planned activities.
  • Work with sponsors to fundraise for technical events.
  • Support the committee by approving expenses.
  • Work with the Chair, Vice Chair and Honorary Secretary to ensure the committee delivers on their planned activities within the agreed budget and to help plan the following year's activities.
  • Liase with the CIBSE Networks and Engagement Team to ensure timely payment of invoices from suppliers.
