Number of Vacancies: One per Region*

Requirements: Corporate membership (ACIBSE, LCIBSE, MCIBSE, FCIBSE) and candidates must be a member of the Region.

Responsibilities: The Honorary Treasurer of a CIBSE Regional Committee is responsible for

  • The receipt, safe keeping and disbursement of Regional funds as authorised by the Region Committee
  • Keeping adequate records of finances, in line with CIBSE Regional Rules
  • Keeping Region expenditure in line with budget
  • Advising Region Committee on preparation of budgets
  • Submitting the annual application for funding and supplementary information to CIBSE HQ
  • Submitting end of year financial returns to HQ every January and providing any necessary additional information requested
  • Keeping the Region Committee informed of the financial condition of the Region
  • Preparation of a Financial Report and submission of that report to the Region Annual General Meeting, with a copy to CIBSE HQ

Training: Training will be given

Description: Getting involved in your local CIBSE region is a great way to grow your network, boost your skills, and shape and influence the work of CIBSE. 

The CIBSE regions hold technical and social events, support local members through the application process, promote building services engineering as a career and much more. Get in touch to find out how you can get involved. 

Number of hours required: Approx 12 hours in meetings and 10 hours of additional work per year.

Contributing to your regional committee counts towards CPD.

*There are now opportunities to share the roles of Vice Chair, Honorary Secretary or Honorary Treasurer with one other individual if this would make it viable for you to progress with your nomination - you can indicate this within the nominations form.
