Number of Vacancies: One per Region*
Requirements: Corporate membership (ACIBSE, LCIBSE, MCIBSE, FCIBSE) and candidates must be a member of the Region.
Responsibilities: The Honorary Secretary of a CIBSE Regional Committee is responsible for
- Preparing agendas for all meetings of the committee
- Acting as secretary for the business part of each committee meeting
- Keeping all Region records. CIBSE have provided Microsoft Teams which can be used as a repository for Group committee records
- In conjunction with the Chair, liaising between the Group and CIBSE HQ
- Advising the Chair on procedures for meetings, votes, motions, application of the rules etc.
- Sending minutes of Group committee Meetings to CIBSE HQ
- Ensuring that CIBSE HQ has up-to-date information on Group events
- Acting for the Group committee in keeping track of all the property of the Group for example: marketing collateral, pop-up banners
- Notifying Officers, nominated candidates and members, of their selection, nomination or appointment

Number of hours required: Approx. 12 hours in meetings and 10 hours of additional work per year.

*There are now opportunities to share the roles of Vice Chair, Honorary Secretary or Honorary Treasurer with one other individual if this would make it viable for you to progress with your nomination - you can indicate this within the nominations form.
