Overview

Are you interested in encouraging the professional development of engineers?

The CIBSE interviewers assess competence for CIBSE corporate membership and registration. You must be either a Fellow or Member of the Institution. To assess these grades, you must be of the same grade or higher. Training will be provided and you will be given the opportunity to observe interviews before conducting them yourself.

Each interview lasts around 60 minutes, during which you will need to assess the prospective member against the Engineering Council's competency criteria. You will be working in a team of two for each interview, which are normally held online using Microsoft Teams, unless face-to-face has been specified by the candidate.

What you'll gain:

  • CPD hours: Interviewing prospective members counts towards your own Continued Professional Development.
  • Industry insights: Stay on top of the latest trends and innovations as you learn from prospective members about their preferred techniques and systems to overcome challenges they face in their work.
  • Connections: Expand your network with industry experts and professionals, from candidates and other interviewers.
  • Confidence: Develop your interview skills, hone your questioning techniques and improve your ability to assess candidates.

To apply, please email your CV and a small description of who you are and why you're interested to [email protected]. We will be in contact when training dates are available.
