The packed conference room at the CIBSE Lifts Group’s AGM 2024 on 21 February at CIBSE HQ in Balham demonstrated our members' strong support and interest.
Following Michael Bottomley's Welcome and tribute to the late Dr Gina Barney, CIBSE President, Adrian Catchpole addressed the attendees.
Michael provided an update on the efforts behind transitioning the group to a society.
Adam Scott shared updates on the development of codes and standards,
David Cooper reminded the attendees of the various knowledge sharing, education initiatives and that CIBSE will be creating an online CPD specifically for the Vertical Transportation industry.
Phil Pearson kicked off the afternoon seminar where Hywel Davies provided some great insights into the “Building Safety Act 2022” which was followed by an intense Q&A session.
