How we use artificial light at night is a question that brings together some of the most pressing challenges of our time.
We need to protect our night sky, enhance well-being and safety in our towns and cities, safeguard biodiversity and human health, and minimise carbon emissions. We need to move beyond merely mitigating harm and strive to create a positive impact on our world. By adopting responsible practices in the use of artificial light at night, we can harness its potential to foster a healthier, more sustainable world.
