Dr Mark Davie, CEng MCIBSE
Regional ANZ Chair, 2024 - present
Mark is passionate about designing better-performing healthcare buildings and improving existing hospitals for society and the environment and invests his time in educating the engineering community, sharing research, and ideas and supporting the community of built environment professionals in their pursuit of excellence. As Chair of the ANZ region, Mark’s passion will extend to ensure CIBSE members and the broader construction industry are provided with the best building services knowledge and tools to work with.
Jen Sinclair, CEng MCIBSE
ANZ Vice Chair, 2023 - present
Jen is a mechanical engineer who first joined CIBSE as a graduate in 2008 and has been a member of the CIBSE Queensland Chapter Committee since January 2019.
She spent the first five years of her career in the UK before moving over to Sydney with her family and now lives in Brisbane where she works for Arup delivering engineering solutions for commercial and public buildings. Since being in Australia Jen has been a keen promotor of CIBSE’s extensive technical resources and events within her networks.
Jen is a passionate engineer and project manager with a focus on communication, coordination, collaboration and commercial success.
Jeff Tsang, CEng MCIBSE, MIET and MiMechE

Jeff's dedication significantly boosted event attendance and inspired more students to consider careers in building services. Notably, he received recognition as a highly commended graduate of the year and student of the year, highlighting his early career accomplishments. Jeff continues to be a valued member of CIBSE, wholeheartedly committed to its mission.
Paul Angus, CEng FCIBSE FSoPHE
Honorary Treasurer, 2022 - present
Paul provides hydraulic (public health) engineering expertise and leadership through the provision of design services and advice to a broad range of clients and industry sectors. He is a highly focused, committed team player and an enthusiastic multi-disciplinary leader.
Paul has been involved in a voluntary capacity with the CIBSE committee since 2006, initially within various CIBSE / SoPHE Committees that have spanned across the North West of England, Scotland and now in Sydney, Australia. Since 2013 he has held various leadership positions within CIBSE ANZ including NSW Chair, ANZ Hon Secretary, ANZ Chair and since 2022, ANZ Hon Treasurer.
Paul also hosts the CIBSE ANZ Podcast – Talking Buildings and is regarded as a key influencer and connector in the Building Services Industry.
Nirodha Siriwardena
YEN Chair, 2022 - present
Niro is a mechanical engineer based in Sydney, Australia, working at Norman Disney & Young (NDY) with a focus on workplace, existing buildings, and asset performance sectors. He serves as the CIBSE Young Engineers Network ANZ Chair, where he is dedicated to elevating the profile of building services engineering in the ANZ region and supporting young engineers through technical and professional network development. Niro has a particular interest in workplace efficiency, striving to make building systems work smarter, not harder, to create a better outcome for its occupants and the environment.
Steve Hennessy, CEng FCIBSE MSLL

Stephen Hennessy is a past Chair for the Australia and New Zealand Region of CIBSE. He has had a long association with the Institution, serving in the past as the NSW Chair, and the national membership secretary. He also served as Region Chair from 2004 to 2006. In 2010 he was awarded a Silver Medal for services to the Institution. He also undertakes the Professional Competency Review Interviews for IEng and CEng, and the Competence Review Interviews for ACIBSE and MCIBSE.

Phil was ANZ Chair from 2023 - 2024. He is passionate about the value of CIBSE’s repository of technical information and the professionalism that active CIBSE members bring to building services. Phil began to get actively involved with CIBSE in 2013 while working in the energy efficiency industry and studying part time for a Master of Design Science in Building Services at the University of Sydney.
Currently GM of Sustainability and Environment at Ingams.
Prior to joining Ingams, Phil spent 15 years in property across energy efficiency advisory, independent commissioning and project management, and client side for Charter Hall’s Office and Industrial & Logistics businesses and this last year as Head of Climate at Woolworths.

Matthew Hill, CEng MCIBSE
Victoria Chair, 2023 - present
Matt has been actively involved with CIBSE since 2019 and currently represents CIBSE as the Victorian Chapter Committee Chair. His involvement in CIBSE was driven by the benefit and influence that CIBSE has across the global building services industry, and him wanting to get involved for the betterment of industry knowledge and development.
Matt is currently Senior Associate, Building Services Lead and ESD Discipline Lead at Compass Engineering Group, for which he has been employed for the past 5 years. He is passionate about continuous improvement and development with a focus on consulting skills, continuing professional development, quality control, buildability, and safety in design to ensure Compass’ clients have the best possible experience throughout the entire life cycle of each project.

Regional Almoner – Ian Small, ACIBSE
Ian Small served as Chair of the CIBSE ANZ Region from 2014 - 2017. Prior to this, Ian was the ANZ Regional Treasurer from 2005. Ian was also the Chair of the South Australian Chapter from 2003 to 2014, as well as serving on the South Australian Committee prior.
Ian has been awarded the CIBSE Bronze Medal for his service to the Institution.
Ian is the retired Managing Director of the National Air Group. He has been involved in the HVAC Industry in the UK and Australia, as both a Mechanical Services Contractor and Consultant, for over 45 years.

Regional Manager
Sharon oversees national events, training and membership growth in the CIBSE ANZ region. She is involved in raising the awareness of building services opportunities at tertiary institutions and championing chartership to raise competency for the greater good of the industry. She is working to develop more CIBSE cpd training opportunities in the region, both online and face to face. She also publishes the regional eNewsletter, and provides CIBSE support services for building services organisations, including membership presentations, graduate training and implementing CIBSE's training and development scheme.
