Plate Heat Exchangers: Principles & Applications Our course gives an understanding of the principles of plate heat exchangers and there uses in domestic water heating applications. We examine the principles of heat transfer, and the effects certain variables have on the efficiency of the different types of plate heat exchanger. The course covers the correct sizing of Plate Heat Exchangers, the benefits of Packaged Plate Heat Exchangers for DHW Generation and the advantages of Instantaneous Systems and Semi Instantaneous Systems. Ferrous Oxide in Heating Systems In this seminar we will cover different ways of controlling or eradicating Ferrous Oxide formation and ways of removing it from a system effectively. The one hour seminar will be a CIBSE Approved PowerPoint presentation along with device physical samples. Seminar looks at what Ferrous Oxide is, how it forms and its effect on heating systems. We look at methods of dealing with ferrous oxide and the different types of equipment available.
